Small details. Smoother-looking skin.

START WITH CLARITY

What is cosmetic skin lesion removal?

Skin tags and other benign-appearing growths can change how skin looks and feels. Cosmetic lesion removal uses a precise, provider-selected method to reduce or remove an unwanted spot while protecting the surrounding skin.

Because different growths can look alike, every appointment begins with an assessment. Lenox Skincare does not diagnose skin cancer. Spots that appear suspicious, are changing, bleed without cause, or have not been medically evaluated may be referred to a dermatologist.

COMMON CONCERNS WE ASSESS

Know what you are seeing

Skin Tags

Skin tags are soft, benign growths that often develop in areas of friction. After confirming the spot is appropriate for cosmetic treatment, a provider may use a precise technique to remove the protruding tissue.

Common areas: Neck, underarms, torso, beneath the breasts and other friction-prone areas.

Typical healing: Often 5–10 days of visible surface healing.

Expected result: A smoother-looking surface after the treated area has fully healed.

Dermatosis Papulosa Nigra

DPN are small, dark brown or black papules most often seen on the face and neck of people with deeper skin tones. Treatment must be conservative and skin-tone conscious to help limit avoidable discoloration.

Common areas: Cheeks, temples, forehead, neck and upper chest.

Typical healing: Often 7–14 days; pigment settling can take longer.

Expected result: A visible reduction in selected raised spots. New DPN may develop over time.

Milia

Milia are tiny keratin-filled cysts beneath the skin. Professional extraction creates a controlled opening so the trapped material can be released without at-home squeezing.

Common areas: Cheeks, forehead and selected areas around—but not directly on—the eye.

Typical healing: Often 2–7 days for minor redness or pinpoint crusting.

Expected result: A smoother surface where successfully extracted milia were present.

Seborrheic Keratosis

Seborrheic keratoses are common, noncontagious growths that may look waxy, rough or stuck onto the skin. Because they can resemble other conditions, proper assessment is especially important.

Common areas: Face, neck, chest, back and torso, when clinically appropriate.

Typical healing: Often 7–14 days, depending on size and depth.

Expected result: Reduced texture at the treated site after complete healing.

Solar Lentigines

Solar lentigines are flat, evenly pigmented spots linked to cumulative UV exposure. A consultation determines whether the spot is suitable for cosmetic correction and which pigment-focused service is appropriate.

Common areas: Face, chest, shoulders, arms and backs of the hands.

Typical healing: Varies by treatment; spots may temporarily darken first.

Expected result: A more even-looking tone, supported by consistent sun protection.

YOUR TREATMENT PLAN

Provider-selected correction:
Additional techniques may be recommended—or a dermatology referral may be the safest next step.

Frequently Asked Questions

Most clients describe brief warmth, tingling or a quick pinch. Sensation varies by location and treatment method. Your provider can discuss appropriate comfort measures.

This depends on the lesion type, treatment area, your skin’s response and the time reserved. Your consultation will determine whether one appointment or a series is more appropriate.

Temporary redness, crusting or discoloration is possible. Post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation and scarring are risks with any procedure, especially if an area is picked or exposed to sun.

Cosmetic treatment is only appropriate for lesions considered suitable after assessment. New, changing, irregular, painful or bleeding spots should be evaluated by a dermatologist or licensed medical provider.

Pricing is based on lesion type, number, location, complexity and appointment time. We provide a treatment plan and transparent estimate after assessment.
